Employers get behind the Tech Partnership’s #choosetech summer campaign

Employers and training providers from across the UK helped spread the work on tech careers this summer as part of the Tech Partnership’s #choosetech social media campaign.

Launched on A-level results day, the social media campaign aimed to create awareness of tech careers among student and school leavers.

Among the businesses getting involved and encouraging young people to peruse tech careers were IBM, Capgemini and HP, alongside apprenticeship training providers and individuals.

The drive reached nearly 90,000 twitter users in the first 10 days, a figure that continued to grow throughout the month-long campaign.

The campaign featured stories from young people considering tech careers and those already studying to gain tech skills, alongside a host of blogs and stats showcasing how successful a career in tech can be.
