What was the best experience of your Tech Industry Gold accredited degree apprenticeship?

The best part of my Tech Industry Gold accredited degree apprenticeship was being able to see how the knowledge I gained from the university was applied to the workplace and my various roles over four years. It is satisfying seeing what you are learning actually can relate to the work that you do and be of benefit to the organisation.

What was the most challenging experience of your Tech Industry Gold accredited degree apprenticeship?

The dissertation was the most challenging experience of my Tech Industry Gold accredited degree apprenticeship. To be able to work on a dissertation at the same time as working was difficult. I had taken on extra projects in my role which made it difficult to balance the time between focusing on my job and making time for the work-based dissertation. However, I did manage to do this and it was very rewarding submitting my work and implement change in the workplace based on my research. This was a great moment for me personally.

What would you say now to yourself before you enrolled on your Tech Industry Gold accredited degree apprenticeship?

Just network at any given opportunity as the luxury of doing a degree apprenticeship is to be able to pick up skills and insights from those you work with. You are able to bring these experiences to the degree and vice versa.

Go for it, you really do not have anything to lose if you are after a career in business and tech.

What are you planning to do this summer?

To continue working with Fujitsu and take a much needed holiday!

What are your career plans?

My plan is to stay with Fujitsu and develop my skills further in Project Management, and work towards becoming a Programme Manager.

Who inspires you?

As a massive football fan, Cristiano Ronaldo is my biggest inspiration. As he has grabbed every opportunity and has a strong work ethic, he has become the best in his field. That motivation and hard work both inspire me.
