Biography: Peter Cripps, Cloud and Blockchain Architect at IBM

Pete is a full-time Software Architect and part-time author, photographer and blogger. He has extensive experience in IT development, architecture and consulting and is also a thought leader and teacher on IT architecture best practice. Pete is co-author of the book “The Process of Software Architecting” (Addison Wesley,2009) as well as a number of papers, courses and lectures on IT architecture and methods. He typically works with CIO and CTO level clients on large, complex systems integration projects which utilise his business and technical skills.

Pete currently works in IBM Lab Services as a Blockchain Solution Architect where he works with clients to architect and build innovative blockchain solutions based on Hyperledger Fabric. Pete’s current areas of interest include:

  • Cloud computing
  • Blockchain (especially Hyperledger Fabric & Composer)
  • Serverless
  • Design thinking
  • The development of good architecture practice
  • Enterprise and solution architecture
